Last Days of Fall Color in NC Mountains

Fall Color Report: The last days of fall foliage color are here! Summer-like temperatures this week (highs in the 70s) will be replaced by winter-like weather by Monday (highs in the 40s in Asheville and 30s in the higher elevations). The best fall color during the next week will be in the lowest elevations like Chimney Rock, Lake Lure and Tryon areas. Many leaves in the higher elevations will come down on a windy Monday. Meanwhile, take advantage of great hiking weather for the next few days. See our Top 40 Hikes near Asheville.
